Improvement of electric energy transmission and distribution system

The successful economic reforms carried out in all fields under the leadership of the President of the country Ilham Aliyev show their positive results in the field of electric energy. As a result of the application of modern technologies in this field, the creation of backup generation power, the creation of efficiency and quality standards in accordance with international indicators, the elimination of existing problems in the energy supply system, and the further strengthening of energy security, the electricity industry of our republic has developed at a high level, and today, living in remote, difficult terrain stable and reliable electricity is provided in our premises.

Strategic vision of the "Strategic Roadmap for the development of communal services (electricity and heat energy, water and gas) in the Republic of Azerbaijan" until 2020, approved by the Order No. 1897 of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated March 16, 2016, on the national economy and the main sectors of the economy , includes a long-term vision for the period up to 2025 and a target vision for the period after 2025.

"Azerishiq" OJSC carried out important measures in the field of improvement of the transmission and distribution system of electricity in our republic, including improvement of electricity supply by the distribution network, reconstruction and laying of electricity transmission lines.

The commissioning of the Digital Control Center in Shusha is an important event in terms of supplying the city with stable and quality energy. Instead of the traditional 35/10-6/0.4 kV distribution power networks, the new circular power supply scheme built in Shusha was replaced by modern deep penetration 35/0.4 kV networks. In addition, the management capabilities of the network have been expanded with the introduction of the modern SK-11 SCADA dispatcher control system, which fully covers the 110/35/0.4 kV networks. For the first time, with the SK-11 SCADA dispatcher control system, it is possible to control low voltage (0.4 kV) circuits in a modern digital network model, that is, up to the subscriber.

For the first time in our republic, the modern network management system applied in the city of Shusha is used to control and manage the consumption of electricity up to the subscriber. Overhead overhead lines, wires, supports in the city of Shusha are canceled and transferred to the underground system. One of the main reasons for this is the high tourism potential of this area.

In the city centers of Jabrayil and Hadrut regions, the administrative infrastructure buildings were supplied with electricity. To supply the Hadrut settlement with electricity, a 27-kilometer long 110/35/10 kV substation "Shukurbeyli" to the junction substation "Hadrut" in Fuzuli district was installed. A 35 kV double-circuit overhead line was built. Later, since supplying electricity to Shusha is one of the main priorities, a 35/10 kV "Dasalti" substation was built to provide electricity to Shusha city in a short period of time. In order to feed the substation, a 53.5 kilometer long power transmission line was built from the "Hadrut" substation.

Through the "Hadrut"-"Daşaltı" power transmission line, at the initial stage, electricity supply was provided to Shusha city, some villages of Khojavand district and important strategic facilities in the surrounding areas, as well as road infrastructure and other construction works carried out in this direction. The new "Hadrut" junction substation, included in the 35/0.4 kV 2x1600 kVA circular power supply scheme created between the "Shukurbeyli", "Hadrut" and "Shusha" substations, will meet the electricity demand of the various purpose infrastructure to be built in the Hadrut settlement. In general, 6.2 kilometers of 10 kV, more than 2500 meters of 0.4 kV cable power transmission line, and more than 1.5 kilometers of 10 kV overhead power transmission line were built for the military units where the provision of electricity has been completed. As a continuation of the works, a 10 kV overhead power transmission line was restored from the 110/35/10 kV "Kalbajar" substation in the direction of Veng, Baghlipaya villages. The 18 km 10 kV overhead power line between the substation "Kalbajar" and the village of Zulfugarli was restored, and the restoration of the 35 kV overhead power line between the villages of Yanshag and Chopurlu was started. wires in an unusable condition in the overhead line were replaced with new ones, new supports were installed. The installation of supports for the restoration of the 37-kilometer 35 kV overhead cable line between Istisu-Alagöller is being continued. The foundation of Digital Substation was laid in Zangilan district. Here, 240 kilometers of 35/10 kV and 1050 kilometers of 0.4 kV power transmission lines will be completely rebuilt. Unlike the traditional supply scheme, the new structured network is more economically efficient.

In the newly established network, all facilities for the infrastructure of the "Smart City" and "Smart Village" projects will be available. Such a substation provides automatic, flexible control of the network from a distance. Automation makes it possible to reduce the impact of the human factor on the operation of the network, increase its reliability and minimize losses during the transmission of electricity.

Reconstruction works are being carried out in the Agalı village of Zangilan within the framework of the "Smart Village" project. In order to supply the international airport built in Zangilan with electricity, a double-circuit, 35 kV, fully insulated power line was built to the airport.

Reconstruction works are also being continued in Fuzuli district. First, the 110/35/10 kV "Shukurbeyli" substation was commissioned here. In Fuzuli, the works to supply the next military unit No. N with electricity have also been completed. The military unit is equipped with electricity through the 35/0.4 kV power line. The length of the line taken from the 110/35/10 kV Shukurbeyli substation in the city of Manbeyini Fuzuli is 22.5 km and is laid with an insulated wire. As part of the "Smart Village" project, 18 km long insulated universal cable lines of 35 kV were laid for the electricity supply of Agali village, Zangilan district, 11 km long for the electricity supply of Zangilan airport, and 4 substations of different power of 35/0.4 kV for the airport. was built. In order to supply the military units located in Kalbajar and Lachin regions with electricity, 34 complete transformer substations of different power were installed, 184 km of 110/35 and 10 kV power transmission lines were built and restored. The SK-11 dispatcher control system provides real-time assessment of the power capacity of 0.4 kV networks, redirecting them to other sources if necessary, and setting up a smart reporting system to achieve subscriber satisfaction.

39.5 km of 35 kV, 54.3 km of 10 kV, and 50 km of 0.4 kV power lines in Shusha, Fuzuli, Jabrayil, Khojavand, Zangilan, Gubadli and Aghdam regions, 9 units of 35 kV 62 10 kV substations were repaired and restored. The Fuzuli Digital Substation and Control Center built in Fuzuli district was put into operation. In order to optimize the operation and management of electric transmission lines, 3 units in the 35 kV "Gülabird - Minkend" overhead line, 1 unit in the 35/10 kV "Sıghna" substation located in Shusha district, 1 unit in the 35/10 kV "Zengilan" substation , 1 unit (total 6 units) of intelligent switching device-reclosers were installed in the 35 kV Vejnali overhead line. Currently, construction of 35 kV substations No. 4 and 6 in Shusha city, Hadrut settlement, Gubadli, Zangilan, Fuzuli, Kalbajar, Jabrayil and Agdam districts (2 units) is underway. The smart grid concept was applied in the village of Sugovushan, Tartar district, as in other areas freed from occupation.

Prioritization of loss reduction projects

It is of particular importance in terms of reducing energy losses, increasing energy efficiency and minimizing operating costs of distribution networks. Losses, installation of new and more efficient transformers, construction of digital substations, operation of distribution networks at higher voltage, reduction of current carrying capacity, proportional distribution of powers, etc. can be reduced through measures such as An important step towards reducing losses is speeding up the installation of Smart meters. Because when using these meters, meter reading errors are reduced, and at the same time, the detection of illegal connections and interference becomes much easier. This, in turn, allows more accurate measurement of the amount of consumed electricity.

In connection with the application of modern technologies and innovative methods, the Society started the installation of Luna KSM-50 type control meters and AMR devices, which are modern accounting devices, in order to measure the energy received from Azerenergy OJSC and independent energy producers, and these measures are currently being continued. At the same time, as a pilot project in the direction of building smart networks, installation of modems to balance meters was carried out in order to establish an online balance system at substations and transformer points in the Nasimi electricity network.

The works carried out by "Azerishiq" OJSC in the direction of reducing losses were carried out in accordance with the requirements of normative documents in this field, and the measures first of all covered areas with high losses - networks. For this purpose, 100 settlements have been selected, works on 54 villages have been completed, and works in this direction are being continued in 46 villages. 285 complete transformer substations, 63,911 10 and 0.4 kV supports, and 991.6 km of power transmission cables were installed in the villages where reconstruction works were carried out. In total, 793 complete transformer substations were installed across the country. As a result of reconstruction works, energy loss in January-October 2022 is 20.6 mln. kW has been reduced.

In 2022, "Azerishiq" OJSC will install 192.1 km of 35 kV, 246.5 km of 10 kV, 70 km of 0.4 kV cable lines, 41.6 km of 35 kV and 687.4 km of 10 kV in 2022. luq, 2363.2 km of 0.4 kV overhead lines, 21.6 km of 10 kV, 10.5 km of 35 kV Two-circuit cable lines, 138.7 km of 35 kV UIN overhead lines, 203 882 of them, including to population consumers 195,802 units of accounts and 35,080 units of non-resident consumers have been restored.

As a logical result of the work done, the losses in the reporting months of January-October 2022 compared to the previous period amounted to 77.1 million. kW has been reduced.

As a result of the measures to be implemented within the framework of the Strategic Road Map, increasing the efficiency and level of service in the utility sector, at the same time increasing the export potential of the country's energy resources, expanding the economical use of resources, reducing the amount of harmful substances thrown into the environment, and opening many new jobs in most regions of the country. opportunities will arise.
