Protecting the environment

Under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev, important efforts are being made in our country to solve environmental problems, protect the environment and restore ecological balance. Based on this policy, "Azerishiq" OJSC always focuses on environmental protection and ecological problems in its activities.

"Azerishiq" OJSC pays great attention to ecological aspects and environmental protection and minimizing the impact on the environment in its construction and reconstruction works throughout the country. The main measures in this direction are as follows:

In order to eliminate the negative impact on the environment of the employees working in the enterprise and its production areas during the work process, organizes the implementation of environmental education and improvement of the general environmental culture of the personnel;

Guided by the Laws of the Republic of Azerbaijan on environmental protection, ecological safety, efficient use of natural resources in the enterprise and its production areas, establishes and ensures the development of an environmental management system in accordance with the requirements of the ISO 14001 International standard;

During the work process of employees in the enterprise, it carries out the prediction of environmental risks that will affect the environment and human health, and the evaluation of environmental aspects;

organizes and controls the cleaning and disinfection of all administrative and other buildings on the territory of the enterprise, including greenery;

Ensures timely watering and proper maintenance of all greenery in the enterprise's territory;

Determines the trees that are dry, need to be pruned and may pose a danger, and ensures that appropriate measures are taken in time;

Conducting inverters of household and industrial waste, ensures their collection, transportation and delivery to appropriate landfills;

Organizes the provision of waste containers and waste containers in order to protect the territory of the enterprise from littering;

Organizes periodic inspections to improve the environmental condition of the enterprise;

Large leafy green plants are placed indoors.

Guidelines for waste management:

The contractor companies carrying out the construction works are required to submit and agree the environmental management plan to "Azerishiq" OJSC before starting the works;

In case of archaeological findings or any cultural heritage in the construction sites, the construction works are stopped immediately and the archaeological institutions are informed;

The trees located in the areas where construction and installation works are carried out are moved to another area in accordance with the legislation with the help of special equipment in agreement with the local greening authorities.

During the construction and installation works, the noise and vibration limit indicators are followed according to the norms;

After the dismantling of old transformers, the "Azerishiq" OJSC laboratory takes samples from the transformers and checks the presence of polychlorinated biphenyl content in the oils.

The disposal of hazardous materials containing asbestos is carried out and neutralized by companies with appropriate licenses;

Irrigation is carried out during construction to prevent dust from traffic during the dry season;

Sewage generated in the work area is connected to the sewage system and transferred to the sewage system of the area;

Appropriate warning signs are placed to ensure the safety of the public and local residents during construction and installation works;

Staff are regularly trained on "employee health and occupational safety";

After the completion of construction and installation works, the area is returned to its previous condition.
