Report on the reliability and uninterrupted electricity supply of the city of Baku

In the capital of the country, Baku, a break in providing electricity to consumers (according to SAİDİ) in 2021 amounted to an average of 0.81 hours.

Last year, the number of interruptions (according to SAİFİ ) in the electricity supply to consumers averaged 0.92 times

Compared to previous years, these indicators are lower both in quantity and duration. The main reasons for this are the reconstruction of 110 and 35 kV substations , which are part of the Baku city power supply network, the transition to almost 90% of the city’s total area by underground cable lines, the creation of a circular power supply system, as well as the introduction of an emergency automation system

A report on the reliability and continuity of power supply of the city of Baku for 2020 was prepared. From the report it becomes clear that last year, compared with earlier years, high results were achieved in terms of quality and uninterrupted power supply to the city of Baku.

Thus, in 2020, in the supply of electricity to consumers, the average duration of interruptions in supply was 0.82 hours (according to SAİDİ ) . The number of breaks averaged (according to SAİFİ ) amounted to 0.93 times. These indicators are lower compared to last year. The main reasons for such indicators are: over the past 10 years, 33 of the 110 kV substations in the distribution network of the city of Baku 25 were completely rebuilt, new substations with a voltage of 35 kV in the amount of 88 pieces were built . from these substations, 4 were commissioned last year. At the same time, the transition to underground cable lines in 90% of the entire capital and the creation of a circular power supply scheme also positively affected the reliability and continuity of power supply in Baku.
