As part of the social policy pursued by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mr. Ilham Aliyev, “Azerishig” OJSC is responsible for the implementation of the program of measures to improve the supply of electricity to the population.

At present, it can be said that large-scale work is being done in most parts of the country to modernize the electricity sector. Northern RETSI (Regional Energy Supply and Sales Department), Shabran Electric Network has done a lot to provide the population with reliable and uninterrupted electricity. 110/10 kV 2x16 MVA “Rahimli” s / s supplying electricity to Shabran region was overhauled and strengthened, 2 additional 35 kV s / s were built and put into operation, long-distance lines were abolished and subscribers were provided with electricity from close and reliable distances. The 35/10 kV Pirabadil s / s, which supplies electricity to 6 villages in the Pirabadil village of the Shabran region, is currently undergoing major and reconstruction work. Also, reconstruction works were carried out in 17 villages of the region, cabling was completed, new transformers were installed with the establishment of power centers.

Large-scale work is being carried out in the North RETSI, Khachmaz Electric Network too. During 6 months of 2020, modern transformer points were installed, new cables were laid, new reinforced concrete or metal supports were buried in Mushkur village of Khachmaz region, 21st, 25th and 61st blocks of Khachmaz city due to reconstruction works. In short, the electricity system of these areas has been completely rebuilt. In the area called Magsudkend of  Khachmaz region, useless supports were replaced with new ones, new cables were laid and subscribers were provided with uninterrupted electricity. Also, current repair work was carried out at more than 60 transformer points of Khachmaz Electric Network.  Northern RETSI, Guba Electric Network, launches new power plants to provide consumers with sustainable and quality electricity, especially in remote mountain villages. A 35 / 0.4 kV 100 kVa transformer station was installed and put into operation in Kunjug village of the region in June this year. Until now, the electricity supply to Kunjug village was powered by a transformer in the neighboring village of Kalmykh.
